The Folklore Project

Limerick Civic Trust Heritage and Folklore Archives was established in November 1994. The objectives of a Civic Trust mandate us to "Create a better understanding of our heritage through new information, advice and education." All of our research work is based on sourcing new unpublished material and then making our recordings available to the public in different formats. Our folklore archives house 140 interviews of people and to date we have published numerous books, booklets, maps and guides.
